Hi all! Sorry I haven't posted a new deal of the month! In case you were wondering, the January deal of the month is being extended through out this month.

I have been working on.....wait for it....YAY, a website/online store for Twin Stitchers! It should be ready by March and I am so EXCITED! Soon you will be able to pay for your pattern and download it in the very same minute! WooHoo! But it has taken a ton of time so please be patient! OK, you have all GOT to check this out! My friend Polly, of Helping Little Hands just did this AWESOME posting about "faux embroidery" using one of TS's patterns....It is "Our Family Tree" none the less! OMGosh...it turned out sooooo cute! I know you are all afraid of that pattern in particular but as Polly says, it only took a couple of hours to do it this way....compared to 60 hours...that is total instant craftification! I am in love with her version of "Our Family Tree" and I hope you will all agree! Here is a sneak preview...

Commonly asked questions...

1. How do you color stitcheries? We use just good old Crayola crayon. (To be specific; my box is the 64 pack of regular Crayola: not the washable kind.)You just lightly color along the inside of the stitch with a coordinating crayon color. It really is that simple. Just make sure you press your stitchery first so the wax isn't lifted off.

2. Washing your colored stitchery... I have only washed a couple of my finished stitches after I have colored them and so far so good. This is what I did, I washed them on gentle with Cold water. Then I laid them flat to dry. After they were completely dry, I pressed them with a warm iron (NOTE: there was a little crayon left on them so I used a press cloth for an overlay with ironing to prevent the crayon from smearing.) Then I recolored them.
3. How do you trace a pattern onto the muslin?This is simpler than you would think. You tape your pattern to your window or a light colored surface. (I use my beige counter top.) Then you tape your cut to size muslin over the pattern. Then trace with a pencil or washable fabric pen. Yep, that simple.

4. Do you have to back your stitchery with batting?No, this isn't necessary. However, sometimes you can see through the thin muslin so you will have to be more conscience of the back work. Batting also gives your stitchery a cute puffy look that looks darling in a chunky frame or a quilted pillow.

5. What kind of batting do we suggest?You must use 100% cotton quilters batting. This is a very compressed batting that won't pull through with your thread. You can find this batting at any fabric store.

6. Can beginners do stitcheries?Absolutely! There is a stitch guide included in every pattern to help you learn. If you have never stitched before then you came to the right place. If you are a cross stitcher or you do needle point than you will be an old pro at this.

1.To order simply send us an e-mail with each item #, (found at the bottom of the picture and starting with OU) a short description, and the quantity per stitchery pattern.
2.We will then send you a money request through Paypal. The prices are listed below the item #.
3. Once you have paid we will recieve confirmation through Paypal. We will then send your E-Patterns via e-mail with in 48 hours (or sooner).

Note: You will find 2 prices listed below most patterns. The more expensive of the 2 prices is for the original U.S. post mail out paper pattern. The E-Pattern price is the cheaper of the 2 prices.
ALL PATTERNS WILL BE E-MAILED TO YOU AS E-PATTERNS UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN YOUR ORDER!!!

Brighten up your Stitchery!!!

One of my most frequently asked questions is "How do you get the color on your stitcheries?". Well here it is..CRAYON!!! Yep, that easy! This is what I do...

1. After the sampler is complete I press it with a warm iron and allow to cool.

2. Then, I find a coordinating crayon color in my 64 pack of Crayola (regular/not washable) crayons.

3. Then I test the color on a corner of the muslin to make sure it is the color I desire.

NOTE: Always test your crayon color on your muslin first! Crayon colors often look different on fabric then on paper!!!

4. Once I find the desired crayon color, I lightly color along the inside edge of the stitch in the desired area. I like to make it a little bit darker along the inside stitch line then lighten my coloring when filling in the area. Kind of like shading in a coloring book. Below are examples of before and after coloring a stitchery...

5. YOUR DONE!!! Now frame your finished sampler or put it into a quilt, wall hanging, or pillow.
